Bring on the Rain!
Class is on tonight! I love to exercise in the rain! It keeps you cool and keeps the mosquitoes away. We will be spending most of the class close to the gazebo tonight. No hills tonight, I promise!
There will be an extra class this Saturday morning from 8:30 to 9:30 for those who want to make up a class or drop in for $10. We'll be hitting the trails for a fun workout!

Triumph over Mosquitos!
It was inspiring to see all of you who came out last week to exercise while battling the bugs! We definitely got our arms up and moving, so while swatting you increased your heart rate and strengthened your shoulders--great work!
In case the bugs want to stick around, remember to wear lighter colours, bring repellant (we'll have some on hand too) and avoid eating bananas before you workout. Please add your bug-battling tips if you have some good ones!

Honour Your Health and Body
At this time of year we are often filled with motivation and energy to get active-what a relief, that long winter is over for good! Sometimes in that flurry of new activity we let our lofty goals blind our better sensibilities, and end up disappointed with an old pattern or cycle of ups and downs. Be mindful to stay balanced as you head out to "get fit for summer". Remember that exercise, healthy eating, and taking care of yourself are lifestyle choices that you will reap the benefits of and enjoy over the long term if you aren't too hard on yourself! Your body is unique and so are you! Celebrate who you are and focus on slow, gradual life changes that you will be able to keep for life!

Wind Resistant!
Spring is here, for real! The forecast is looking great for tonight! We've even ordered some wind to add a fun challenge to our workout. We might even pack a parachute or too, for those who are up for an extra challenge! Kidding! Tonight we'll be starting off at the hall and heading out to various spots in the ravine. We'll have a chariot for your water and valuables. See you tonight!
** I'll be offering a make-up/ drop-in class on Saturday, May 14th at 8:30am. We'll be exercising close to the park so feel free to bring your kids.

Vote for pure pleasure!
When was the last time you had a pleasant conversation with another motorist as you rolled down your neighbourhood street, or as you waited for the light to turn green? And what about the birds? When was the last time you were dropping the kids off at school, or on your way to work and you were able to hear the birds singing as you drove, and the sun warmed your back?
Exercise doesn't have to be a registered class, it can be pure pleasure in the middle of your day!
