You'd never believe. . .
Tonight I taught for the first time at this brand new little studio, see sign on left, Arise, but look what the place beside says!!! Ok, it's a school for celtic dance, but it says Argyll!! You wouldn't believe how aware I have become of my attachments since moving to Vernon. That warm, familiar, comforting feeling that smiles you from the inside out, was what I felt when I read the sign as I let myself in and prepared to teach my first class at this studio tonight. Knowing that I had the same docking station, little white binder, and music that i was so used to at Argyll Hall in Edmonton gave me a big confidence boost and made me feel pretty comfortable going into this new situation. So the name of the class that I taught tonight is "Yoga for Stiff Guys". Yep, that's right, marketing directly to men-though women will not be excluded of course! The best part was that the somebody's dad came. A dad who is into his 60's for sure and has never tried even though his daughter teaches, in fact opened this studio! The report back was that he liked it and thinks he might come to another class later in the week that I'm teaching! Thank you again everyone who ever came to my yoga classes and helped me learn how to share this wonderful age old practise in a way that makes people feel comfortable.
I hope you are all doing well and bugging Lori about getting that TBC running again after Spring Break! I am so happy to know that Monday night yoga continues on at Argyll in Edmonton. I am going to be teaching a beginner series starting next week at another place and it's on Monday nights! Again, I will bring with me warm and happy yoga feelings that I was so fortunate to develop with you at the community hall.
